Blow Moulding
Westaflex Plastics have installed two blowmoulders, one of which is thought to be the largest in Australia. FKI (Fong Kee International) Moulding equipment is one of the largest and finest machinery manufacturer in the Taiwan Plastic Extrusion Industry. All FKI machinery is produced to ISO9001-2000 edition standard as well as being CE certified.
The smaller of the two machines is a FKI-ABI 125 accumulator head Blowmoulder capable of blowing parts up to 250 litres. It has four pin sizes, of 100, 150, 200 & 300mm and has a 100 point parison control system. The larger machine is a FKI-ABI 150 accumulator head Blowmoulder capable of blowing parts up to 1400 litres. It also has four pin sizes of 300, 400, 800 & 900mm, has the 100 point parison contol plus an unscrewing system for the manufacture of threads in parts like barrels.
The moulders are fed their plastic materials via a Piovan Drying / Dehumidifying / feeding system. (See Material Feeding Page).
