Material Feeding
Westaflex Plastics have installed a state of the art Piovan Dehumidifying / Drying / Feeding system for all machinery. All over the world, the name Piovan signifies a leader in quality in the plastics material processing sector. Piovan has completed a range of auxillary machinery to cater for any requirement in the specific areas of Injection and Blow Moulding and other polymer applications.
The Piovan system is made up of:

Part of the material handling system at Westaflex Plastics is a state of the art computer system that monitors the (36) plus main sensors. This system controls desiccant and air temperature, loads blends and transports, records the mediums condition and individual batch being processed. Live or hard copy reports are generated for piece of mind. For complete process accuracy all of the machines feed throat inlets which are fitted with a medium gravimetric blender. Constantly supplied by four individual hoppers, the blended or non blended medium is then supplied straight to the machines barrel chamber.
Each gravimetric blender is capable of blending one type of base medium with up to three types of addictives or two types of basic mediums with two types of addictives. Weight tolerance of ± 0.01% is achievable.
